David Boretti is a Class of 2015 student at Elizabethtown College. Born in Garmisch, Germany, he came to Elizabethtown from Crofton, MD and attended high school at Archbishop Spalding.
“In high school at Archbishop Spalding, I was a varsity soccer captain, and also started on the varsity baseball team and was a key member of the varsity track team. My club team for soccer won the state championship my senior year. I also did about one hundred hours of community service at my church and in my local community. At Elizabethtown as an engineering freshman, I am on the soccer team and also am in the honors program. I have also joined a leadership program, Called to Lead, that combines leadership skills with community serving and learning. I also am involved in a small service project with my First Year Seminar Class to help out with refugees from other countries. Through the Stamps Scholarship, my fellow recipients at Elizabethtown and I have a chance to blaze a trail for everyone that will follow us in the program at this school. We have been blessed with countless opportunities and chances to learn both inside and outside of the classroom and to pursue our life goals while also helping others and impacting other people’s lives.”
